The Institute of Advanced Study in Science & Technology (IASST), Guwahati, Assam, is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts of Senior Project Associate and Laboratory Assistant under the DBT-funded project titled “Production of soybean based functional foods using microbial resources isolated from traditionally fermented foods of North East India.”
1. Senior Project Associate
No. of Post: 1
Salary: ₹42,000/- + 18% HRA per month
Essential Qualification:
Master’s degree in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Microbiology from a recognized university with a minimum of 4 years of research experience; OR
Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from a recognized university.
Age Limit: 40 years
Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government of India guidelines.
2. Laboratory Assistant
No. of Post: 1
Salary: ₹20,000/- + 18% HRA per month
Essential Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Microbiology/Zoology from a recognized university.
Age Limit: 50 years
Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government of India guidelines.
Selection Procedure
Eligible candidates may appear for the walk-in interview as per the schedule below:

Laboratory Assistant: 3rd September 2026
