Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the following ‘Fit and Proper’ criteria as per banking regulations:
1. Educational Qualification
The candidate must be a Graduate, with preference given to those with:
Banking Specialization: CAIIB / Diploma in Banking and Finance / Diploma in Co-operative Business Management.
Professional Accounting: Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant.
Management/Higher Ed: MBA (Finance) or Post Graduation in any discipline.
2. Age Limit
Minimum Age: 35 years (as of 31.12.2025).
Maximum Age: 66 years (as of 31.12.2025).
Note: The candidate shall not exceed 70 years of age at any point during their term in office.
3. Professional Experience
Minimum 8 years of combined experience at the Middle or Senior Management level.
Experience must be within the Banking Sector or NBFCs engaged in lending and asset financing.
4. Language Skills
Knowledge of the Regional language (Assamese) will be considered a distinct advantage.
