Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a Post Graduate Degree in Hospitality/Tourism or MBA from a recognized University/Institute.

In addition, candidates must possess a Full-Time Degree or Full-Time Three-Year Diploma in any of the following:

• Hotel Administration

• Hospitality Management

• Hotel Management

• Hospitality Administration

• Culinary Arts

• Culinary Science

The qualification must have been obtained with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade from any of the following recognized institutions:

1. NCHMCT or an NCHMCT-affiliated institute; or

2. An institute approved by AICTE; or

3. An institute approved by the State Board of Technical Education; or

4. An institute affiliated to a University recognized by UGC; or

5. A Central/State/Deemed University recognized by UGC; or

6. An equivalent degree/diploma from a foreign University/Institution recognized by AIU.

Desirable Qualifications

Preference may be given to candidates possessing:

• Ph.D. degree

• Research papers published in peer-reviewed journals

Experience

Candidates must fulfil one of the following experience requirements:

Option 1

At least 15 years of experience in teaching and the hotel industry, including a minimum of 5 years of regular service after appointment in the grade of Lecturer or equivalent in an institute affiliated to NCHMCT, AICTE, State Board of Technical Education or a recognized University.

Option 2

At least 15 years of total experience in teaching and industry together, including:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the hotel industry in a managerial capacity (one level below General Manager level) in a 3-Star/Heritage or above category approved hotel; and

• Minimum 5 years of experience in teaching/training.
