Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the Chief Scientist post must satisfy the prescribed educational and experience requirements.

| Bachelor's Degree | Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Sericulture, Horticulture or Agricultural Engineering. |
| Master's Degree | Master's Degree in the relevant discipline with at least 55% marks, or MCGPA of 3.00/4.00 or 7.00/10.00. |
| Ph.D. | Ph.D. in any field of the concerned discipline. |
| Experience | Minimum 10 years of teaching/research/extension experience, including the period spent obtaining Ph.D. |
| Associate Professor Experience | Minimum 5 years as Associate Professor or equivalent in a university/research/extension institution. |
| Publications | Minimum 10 publications, such as research papers, books, book chapters, review papers or monographs. |
| API/PBAS Score | Minimum 45/65 for General Category and 42/65 for ST/SC Category as prescribed under the Academic Performance Indicator (API)-based PBAS. |
