1. Professor
No. of posts: 17
For Medical Candidates:
- Recognized medical qualification as prescribed by the applicable regulations.
- MD/MS or equivalent qualification in the concerned specialty.
- M.Ch./D.M. or equivalent for super-specialty disciplines, wherever applicable.
- Experience: 14 years of teaching/research experience after MD/MS, or the prescribed equivalent experience after D.M./M.Ch., depending on the specialty and qualification.
For Non-Medical Candidates:
- Master’s degree in the concerned/allied discipline.
- Doctorate degree from a recognized university.
- Experience: 14 years of teaching/research experience after obtaining the doctorate.
2. Additional Professor
No. of posts: 16
For Medical Candidates:
- Relevant medical postgraduate qualification such as MD/MS or equivalent.
- D.M./M.Ch. for super-specialty disciplines, wherever applicable.
- Experience: Generally 10 years of teaching/research experience after MD/MS, with separate experience requirements for super-specialty posts.
For Non-Medical Candidates:
- Master’s degree and doctorate in the concerned discipline.
- Experience: 10 years of teaching/research experience after obtaining the doctorate.
3. Associate Professor
No. of posts: 13
For Medical Candidates:
- Relevant MD/MS or equivalent qualification.
- D.M./M.Ch. for super-specialty disciplines, wherever applicable.
- Experience: Generally 6 years of teaching/research experience after MD/MS, with separate requirements for super-specialty posts.
For Non-Medical Candidates:
- Master’s degree and doctorate in the concerned discipline.
- Experience: 6 years of teaching/research experience after obtaining the doctorate.
4. Assistant Professor
No. of posts: 17
For Medical Candidates:
- Relevant medical qualification and MD/MS or equivalent.
- D.M./M.Ch. for super-specialty disciplines, wherever applicable.
- Experience: Generally 3 years of teaching/research experience after MD/MS.
- For certain super-specialty posts, the prescribed experience is 1 year after D.M./M.Ch.; candidates with a 3-year recognized D.M./M.Ch. may be exempt from experience as specified.
For Non-Medical Candidates:
- Master’s degree in the concerned/allied discipline.
- Doctorate degree from a recognized university.
- Experience: 3 years of teaching/research experience after obtaining the doctorate.
