Assam Career : The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Guwahati, Assam has announced an official recruitment notification for 2026. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for multiple temporary, project-based contractual roles under the ICMR-NIRT sponsored medical trial.

The study is titled "Multi-centric Parallel arm Randomized Clinical trial to improve treatment outcomes among persons with drug-sensitive pulmonary TB treated with 4 or 6 months of High dose Rifampicin containing regimens with or without Levofloxacin (PRaCTISe-HR Trial)". This crucial public health initiative is supervised directly by the Head of the Pharmacology Department, AIIMS Guwahati.

Detailed Post-Wise Eligibility Criteria

1. Project Research Scientist – I (Medical)

• Essential Qualification: MBBS degree from an NMC-recognized institution with a valid Medical Council Registration certificate.

• Desirable Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of active clinical experience post-MBBS.

  • Completed Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification.

  • Previous experience in medical research (demonstrated via scientific publications or presentations).

  • Multilingual fluency in English, Hindi, and Assamese.

  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Office Suite.

2. Project Technical Support-II (Field Investigator)

• Essential Qualification: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree (preferred) in Life Sciences, Biology, or Public Health.

• Desirable Qualifications:

  • 1 to 2 years of field experience working on clinical research projects.

  • Valid Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification.

  • Strong communication skills with fluency in English, Hindi, and Assamese.

  • Proficiency in computer handling and data entry (MS Office Suite).

3. Project Technical Support-II (Lab Technician)

• Essential Qualification: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree (preferred) in Life Sciences or Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT).

• Desirable Qualifications:

• 1 to 2 years of practical experience in clinical research setups or demonstrable expertise in standard laboratory techniques.

• Valid Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification.

• Fluency in English, Hindi, and Assamese.

• Efficiency in managing data records via computer skills (MS Office Suite).
