Assam Career : Rabindranath Tagore University (RTU), Hojai, a premier state government university in Assam, is inviting eligible Indian citizens for a walk-in interview to fill Teaching Assistant positions. These roles are purely on a contractual and temporary basis for the academic session 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following academic standards as per university and UGC guidelines:
Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in the relevant subject (Political Science or Sociology) from a recognized university.
Minimum Marks: At least 55% marks at the Master’s level.
Mandatory Requirements: Candidates must have cleared NET (National Eligibility Test) or SLET (State Level Eligibility Test), or hold a Ph.D. degree in the concerned subject.
Preferences: For Political Science, candidates with an undergraduate background in the same subject will be given preference.
Selection Procedure: Walk-in Interview
The selection will be based on a direct interview conducted by a selection committee. Applicants are advised that their engagement is dependent on the actual need of the departments and the availability of funds.
