Assam Career : The Central Institute of Technology (CIT), Kokrajhar, a prestigious Centrally Funded Technical Institute (CFTI) in Assam, has announced a recruitment drive for various technical, administrative, and teaching positions in 2026.

These temporary government project vacancies are part of the high-impact project titled “Multilevel Capacity Building and Skilling in Industry-aligned Emerging Technologies” hosted by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE).

Vacancy & Salary Breakdown

Eligibility Criteria

1. Office Assistant

• Qualification: Graduate degree in any discipline.

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of administrative/office experience in an academic institution or Science & Technology (S&T) organization.

2. Lab Assistant / Project Assistant

• Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in CSE, IT, Data Science OR MCA / M.Sc (CS/IT) with 2 years of R&D/scientific activity experience.

• Alternative: M.E. / M.Tech in CSE / IT (No experience required).

3. Project Associate – I / Training Coordinator

• Qualification: M.E. / M.Tech in CSE / IT.

• Salary Structure:

  • ₹37,000 + HRA: For candidates with valid GATE, CSIR-UGC NET (including Lectureship), or other national-level exams cleared.

  • ₹30,000 + HRA: For candidates without national-level exam qualifications.

4. Assistant Faculty - I

• Qualification: M.E. / M.Tech in CSE / IT.

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in R&D, industrial/academic institutions, or scientific services.

5. Assistant Faculty - II / Senior Project Associate

• Qualification: Ph.D. (Doctoral Degree) in Engineering.

• Experience: 1 year of R&D experience along with a minimum of two research papers published in SCI or Scopus-indexed journals.

6. Principal Project Associate / Course Instructor

• Qualification: Ph.D. (Doctoral Degree) in Engineering.

• Experience: 4 years of structural R&D experience alongside a minimum of four research papers published in SCI or Scopus-indexed journals.

Selection Process: Walk-in Interview

Eligible candidates must attend a physical walk-in interview on the designated date.
