Assam Career : The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati is inviting applications from young and dynamic diploma holders for the position of Junior Engineer (Trainee). These technical roles are housed within the Infrastructure Planning and Management (IPM) section, which is responsible for the vital physical development and maintenance of the institute's sprawling campus.

Vacancy Details & Remuneration
The positions are offered on a temporary contractual basis for an initial period of 11 months, which may be extended based on performance and institute requirements.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification:
Candidates must hold a Three-year Diploma in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
2. Age Limit:
The maximum age limit is 28 years as of the date of application.
3. Preferred Experience:
While freshers can apply, the institute will give preference to candidates with field experience in:
Building maintenance and site supervision.
Preparation of technical estimates and tender documents.
Project management and site-related engineering works.
Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their academic credentials and relevant experience. Shortlisted applicants may be required to appear for a Written Test or Interview, the details of which will be communicated by the IPM section directly.
