Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed the Secondary School Examination (SSE) of 10th standard with passing marks in Mathematics and English from a recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India, State Governments or Union Territories in India.
Candidates having an equivalent qualification from any other board are not eligible to apply for engagement as GDS.
The applicant should also have studied the local language at least up to 10th Standard from a recognized board.
Other Eligibility Criteria
- Knowledge of computers.
- Knowledge of cycling.
- Adequate means of livelihood.

However, payment of the application fee is exempted for:
