The North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong, Meghalaya is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post of Scientist-B (Non-Medical) under the project titled “Setting up of Nation-Wide Network of Laboratories for Managing Epidemics and National Calamities”, under the State Level Viral Research & Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL), funded by DHR.

Essential Qualification
Candidates must possess either:
1st Class Master's Degree in the relevant subject (Microbiology) from a recognized university; OR
2nd Class M.Sc. + Ph.D. in the relevant subject (Microbiology) from a recognized university.
Desirable Qualification & Experience
Preference will be given to candidates having:
Doctorate Degree in Microbiology or relevant subject.
Additional post-doctoral research experience from a recognized institute/university.
Two years' experience in the relevant subject after obtaining the essential qualification.
Ph.D. degree, which may be considered as 3 years' experience.
Experience in Virology and Molecular Biology.
Publications in peer-reviewed indexed journals.
Remuneration
₹56,000/- + HRA per month
Age Limit
Maximum 40 years
Age relaxation will be applicable as per the applicable rules.
