Educational Qualification
- A Master’s degree with 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is applicable, in Economics/Geography from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- The candidate must clear the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, or a similar test such as SLET/SET.
- The academic score specified in Table-1, Schedule-IV will be considered for short-listing candidates for interview.
- Candidates with Ph.D. and/or proven research experience across states of Northeast India and quality publications will be given preference.
- Candidates must enclose at least one publication as a book, research paper or policy paper.

Educational Qualification & Experience
- A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is applicable, in the relevant discipline from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
- The candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/relevant discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of research experience at National Level Institutions working as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, or teaching and research experience at an equivalent level at a University/College.
- The candidate should have evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidates.
- The applicant must have proven research experience with evidence of published work and a minimum of 10 research publications as books and/or research/policy papers.
- The total research score required for the post of Professor is 120 as per the criteria laid down in Table 2, Schedule IV of the OKDISCD Faculty & Other Academic Staff Services Regulations 2022.
