Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have a strong commitment to producing high-quality research suitable for publication in top academic journals and demonstrate the ability to teach in the Post Graduate Programme. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent qualification in the relevant area.

Professor

• Ph.D. or equivalent qualification.

• Minimum 10 years of teaching/research experience.

• At least 6 years at the level of Associate Professor at an institution of repute.

• Strong record of research and publications.

Associate Professor

• Ph.D. or equivalent qualification.

• Minimum 6 years of teaching/research experience.

• At least 6 years at the level of Assistant Professor at an institution of repute.

• Strong record of research and publications.

Assistant Professor (Grade I)

• Ph.D. or equivalent qualification with a strong academic background.

• Minimum 3 years of teaching/research/professional experience as on the date of application.

• Experience gained while pursuing a Ph.D. will not be counted.

• Demonstrated research capability through publications in reputed journals and refereed conferences.

• Entry level may be Academic Level 12.

• After satisfactory completion of three years, the candidate may move to Academic Level 13A1, as per institute norms.

Assistant Professor (Grade II)

Candidates who do not meet the eligibility requirements for Assistant Professor (Grade I) may be considered for a contractual Assistant Professor Grade II position, with appropriate pay as per institute norms.

• Entry level may be Academic Level 10 or 11, depending on post-Ph.D. experience.

• After three years of service at Academic Levels 10 and 11 combined, eligible candidates may be considered for Assistant Professor Grade I, subject to satisfactory performance and institute rules.
