Educational Qualification

  • Degree Minimum: Candidates must hold an M.E. / M.Tech / M.Sc (Engg.) or an equivalent postgraduate degree completed in First Class.

  • Academic Scores: A minimum aggregate score of 60% marks or a CGPA/CPI grading of 6.5 on a 10-point scale is mandatory.

  • National Level Examination Mandate: Candidates must have cleared their selection via National Eligibility Tests (CSIR-UGC NET including Assistant Professorship) or GATE. Alternatively, selections routed through national-level exams conducted by Central Government departments and their apex agencies (such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.) are fully acceptable.

Age Relaxations

  • SC / ST Candidates: Upper age limit relaxable by 5 years (up to 33 years).

  • OBC Candidates: Upper age limit relaxable by 3 years (up to 31 years).

  • Special Categories: Age relaxations for Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), Widows, and Divorced or Judicially Separated women are applied strictly in accordance with standard Government of India orders.
