Assam Career : The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar, Assam, is inviting applications for a unique and culturally significant internship program. Sponsored by the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) Division, Ministry of Education (MoE), this project is titled “Analyzing the Raag Origins of Indian Traditional Folk Music.”

Hosted by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, this program offers students a chance to bridge the gap between advanced computational analysis and India's rich musical heritage.

Educational Qualification

• Current Status: Students currently pursuing BE / B.Tech / M.Tech (Self-sponsored) are eligible to apply.

• Academic Record: Candidates with a consistent First Class throughout their academic career are preferred.

Project Focus

Selected interns will work under the guidance of Dr. Anupam Biswas (Principal Investigator) in the Department of CSE, focusing on the technical analysis of traditional folk music raags.
