Assam Career : The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Guwahati, is seeking motivated researchers to join a high-impact project evaluating the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives of Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL). This study covers project cycles from 2022 to 2025 and offers a unique opportunity to work at the grassroots level in rural Assam.
TISS is looking for both Quantitative and Qualitative specialists to assist in data collection, community interaction, and impact documentation.

Eligibility & Skills Required
1. Quantitative Investigator
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher (Social Sciences preferred).
Mandatory: Must be fluent in Assamese.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with Kobo Toolbox or Google Forms.
Responsibilities: Translating tools, administering surveys to beneficiaries, and performing daily data quality checks.
2. Qualitative Investigator
Education: Master’s degree in Social Work or any Social Science discipline.
Mandatory: Must be fluent in Assamese.
Technical Skills: Transcription, thematic analysis, and strong narrative writing.
Responsibilities: Conducting in-depth interviews (IDIs) and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), recording sessions, and documenting success stories.
Desirable Qualifications for Both Roles
Experience: Preference given to candidates who have completed at least 2 field research projects.
Location: Experience working in rural settings is highly valued.
Mobility: Candidates must be willing to travel to NRL project locations across Assam as required.
