Assam Career : Assam Agricultural University (AAU), Jorhat, is inviting applications for a specialized project-based government job in 2026. The recruitment is for a Project Associate position under an innovative climate-resilient project titled "Model Climate Smart Farm to Demonstrate Precision Agriculture Technologies for Societal Upliftment of Majuli."

This project aims to transform traditional farming in the Majuli district by introducing modern technology to combat climate-related agricultural challenges.

The selected candidate will be involved in high-level field research and technology demonstration at the farm level.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• Candidates must possess an M.Sc. (Agri) degree in any of the following specializations:

  • Agronomy

  • Soil Science

  • Plant Protection

  • Agricultural Meteorology

Key Competencies:

• Knowledge of Precision Agriculture (use of GPS, sensors, and data to optimize crop yields).

• Understanding of Climate-Smart Farming techniques suitable for the riverine topography of Majuli.
