Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification:
A M.Com or MBA degree specializing in Accounting and Finance.
Minimum 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point scale).
2. Experience:
Minimum of five (05) years of experience in financial administration or management.
Experience must be from a University, Government Department, or PSU unit.
3. Desirable/Preferable:
Candidates holding a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or those who have cleared CA-Intermediate from the ICAI will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities of the Finance Officer
The Finance Officer is a critical administrative pillar. The role involves managing the complex financial life cycle of the university.
Budgeting: Preparation of annual estimates and the Statement of Accounts for the Executive Council.
Compliance: Ensuring all university expenditures align with the approved budget and state financial rules.
Audit Management: Addressing any irregularities pointed out during internal or external audits.
Asset Oversight: Managing university investments and preserving university property.
